Privacy
Short version: no cookies, and a simple, privacy-friendly visit counter.
- No cookies. storms.im doesn’t set any cookies and has no adverts.
- Visit counts. We use GoatCounter to count page views. It doesn’t use cookies or track you across sites.
- Visitor counter. The counter in the footer shows GoatCounter’s public visitor count for the page you’re on (or, if that page has no count yet, the total across ReallyByte sites). It is fetched from GoatCounter, may be a few hours behind, and hides itself if it can’t load.
- Your browser only. The flash-to-bang counter, the practice storm sound, the name finder and the Beaufort slider all run in your browser. The name you type is never saved or sent anywhere.
- Affiliate links. Some links on the storm file go to Amazon UK with our associate tag. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. If you click one, Amazon may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy.
- Other links. Links to our sources and our support page open other sites, which have their own privacy policies.
- Contact. If you email us, we only use your email to reply. info@reallybyte.com
